Mongolian Elsen tasarkhai is a part of the Mongol Els sand dunes, which stretch from the Tuv, Uvurkhangai, and Bulgan provinces  of Mongolia, all the way west to become part of the Khugnu Khan mountain range. The sand dunes are 80 km long total. Dividing the southern part of the sand dunes with the so-called northern Mongolian sand, Khugnu Tarna is a main road. River Tarnat flows in the western of Mongolian part of the sand dunes, it is sodden under its surfaces, so shrubberies such as willow, elm, dogwood, shrubbery grow there.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel in the city centre. After lunch, we will start the city tour including Gandan Monastery, Chinggis Khaan square and surroundings including Parliament House, National Opera Theatre, Cultural Palace and House of City Council. Then we will drive to Zaisan Hill, which provides wide view of the Ulaanbaatar then we will visit Museum of National history with an excellent exhibitions such as Stone and Bronze Age, Turkic and Mongol Empire, rise of Buddhism and communist regime. Overnight and relax in the hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai ( Mini Gobi Desert)

After breakfast, we will drive to Khugnu Khan Natural Reserve, a unique place with beautiful landscape; combination of a Gobi sand dunes, forests and mountains. Lunch at the ger camp. In the afternoon we will visit the temple Erdene Khamba Khiid which is 9 kms drive from the camp. Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar, a religious leader, philosopher, artist and sculptor was founded Uvgun and zaluu temples for his religious teacher. The soldiers of Oirad nobleman Galdan boshigt destroyed the monasteries and assassinated the monks in 1688. We will visit horse breeder's family and experience drinking airag, the Mongolian traditional drink made by mare's milk. Overnight at the Guest House near the family's ger. 

Day 3: Drive to Kharkhorin( Ancient temple)

After breakfast we will drive to Kharkhorin; an ancient Capital of Great Mongolian Empire and Erdenezuu Monastery. Kharkhorin was established in the valley of Orkhon river in 1220. Kharkhorin played significant role in Mongolian history and was a capital city of Mongolian Great Empire until Khubilai Khaan, a grandson of Chinggis Khaan moved the capital to Beijing of Yuan Dynasty. Erdenezuu Monastery – the first Buddhist monastery was founded by Avtai Sain Khaan, descendant of Chinggis Khaan, on the ruins of Kharkhorin in 1586. The monastery is surrounded by beautiful looking white walls with 108 stupas. Overnight in the ger camp.

Day 4: Drive to Ugii Lake

After breakfast, we will depart for the  the Ugii Lake is a famous for its bird life.  About 150 types of aquatic birds gather at Lake Ugii including scarce bird like a cape barren goose, a spoonbill. Ugii Lake is also renowned for its fishing such as a perch, a Luce. It is 7 km long and 5 km wide. 50-80 tons fishes are caught annually. The lake is 1337 m above sea level and at the deepest part it reaches up to 15m. On the way, we will visit at the Turkish Museum and Monument of Bilge Khan. Overnight in camp tourist near the lake.

Day 5: Drive to Uran Togoo Volcano

We will drive to Uran volcano. It is located about 60 km directly west of Bulgan city around the extinct volcanoes Uran Togoo, Tulga, Togoo, and Jalavch Uul. All four mountain names allude to their volcanic past with designations borrowed from around the fireplace. The Uran Togoo and Togoo mountains are named for their bowl shape, the Tulga mountain for its three mounds reminding of the traditional iron tripod kettle support. Jalavch ist a term for a small pot. Overnight in the camp tourist near volcano.

Day 6: Drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery

We will visit Amarbayasgalant monastery in the afternoon. Amarbayasgalant is the Monastery of Tranquil Felicity, once one of the three largest Buddhist centers in Mongolia, is located near the Selenge River. It was built between 1727 and 1736 by Zanabazar, the first Bogd Khaan Undur Gegeen Zanabazar, a religious and cultural; leader. Unlike other monasteries Amarbayasgalant shows great class of style. The overall design is Chinese despite some Mongolian and Tibetan influence. Amarbayasgalant monastery is a 2 storey building that covers an area of 87 hectares. Overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Drive to back Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we will visit Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, the palace known as the Green Palace. The palace was built in 1903 dedicated to the 8th Bogd Gegeen, the head of lamaist religion and last khan of Mongolia. Amazing bronze castings, silk paintings, paper icons, mineral paintings, god statues made by Zanabazar and his students is the main attraction of this Palace. After lunch, we will visit cashmere outlet factory and state department store for souvenir shopping. Traditional folklore performance in the evening. Overnight and relax in the hotel.
